I'm crushed! I always look forward to those notes. It didn't seem like there was much good Todd Harris material. Maybe he's had a talking to. But I'm sure he was DEVASTATED when Danica (5'2", 100 lbs. rookie sensation) Patrick crashed and was out of the race.
I was pissed! I caught some of the race on the Web cast. Sounded like Dario and Sam were banging like Daytona out there.
It was very exciting! I can't believe Sam and Dario didn't take each other out. Dario's interview after the race was good. He was actually smiling and NOT complaining about anything! He even complimented Sam and Penske.
That is very un-Dario like.
Dario did manage to cuss out his teammate on 2 occasions I caught on the scanner
"Get Tony out of my f'ing way!"
"Tony is f'ing holding me up!"
And Todd Harris did NOT throw himself out of the booth when Danica crashed. That suprised me.
It sounds like between Dario wanting Tony out of his way (which, actually he was probably right) and Wheldon w/ his comments after the race about not being happy with his fuel/race strategy... maybe the boys at AGR aren't as kissy/huggy as they'd like us to believe.
Trouble in AGR land! And they're all pissed that Danica gets her own autograph line. Scandal! If anyone has a tape of the race coverage I can borrow, shoot me an e-mail (pressdog@pressdog.com). It's killing me.
I have it TiVo-ed, but I have yet to figure out how to get it to tape. If I can get things wired up, I'll give you a yell.
Bonus: I also have F1 at Hockenheim. Woo.
